The Miss City of Maricopa Scholarship Organization is a local pageant under the Miss America Organization, one of the nation’s leading achievement programs and the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. Each year, the Miss City of Maricopa Scholarship Organization awards monies to our local young women in pursue of collegiate studies.  Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance last year alone! We are proud to be a part of this wonderful organization rich in history, community service, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The Miss America Organization is a not-for-profit organization that has maintained a tradition for many decades of empowering young women. Scholarships have been the cornerstone of the Miss America program since 1945 when Bess Myerson was the first Miss America to receive a scholarship from the Organization.

Participating in the Miss City of Maricopa Scholarship Organization not only helps contestants through college and prepare for a career, it also provides an opportunity to gain additional life experience, working on issues of importance to society, enhancing personal and professional skills and developing performance-related and other talents.  Participants in Miss City of Maricopa’s scholarship program begin the process of becoming eligible to compete in the Miss America system in which ten of thousands of young women compete to be national finalists.
